Here's a little walk down memory lane. When I was 9 and found out that my mom was going to have another baby, I was convinced I was going to finally get a little sister. I mean, I already had two brothers, it was time to have a sister, right? Well, my mom came home from a doctor appointment with her ultrasound on a VHS video tape (this was 1990). I could easily tell that I wasn't going to have a sister after all. I ran into the bathroom (I'm pretty sure we were at my grandma's house), cried my little eyes out and refused to talk to my parents for 3 days. I was so mad because they knew how much I wanted a sister. Like they had anything to do with it, but hey, I didn't know about that stuff then. To make "amends," they told me I could help them pick a name for my little brother. I think I'm safe to say that we've been pretty close friends ever since he was born.
Curtis, even though you can't check my blog, I hope you know how happy I am for you. You're going to be a great missionary. I know that you have a testimony and love the gospel. (I'll write it in a letter, don't worry.)

I've been wondering about the "curb drop-off". It has to be better then the emotional torture they used to put you through!
How DARE your parents not give you a baby sister?! I can't blame you for not speaking to them. :) Glad the whole "baby brother" thing turned out ok...yay for missionaries!
Wow! I can't believe Curtis is so TALL and a missionary. Time flies.
I have a baby sister and sometimes I kind of wish we had a brother...
Yes, I think I was refraining from tearing up to much, although that didn't help when I looked at you after the pictures, you had some pretty good tears yourself. But, it was a good time at the curb
Yay for Curtis!! I need to see you, Shawnee. Michelle got to see you, and I got to see Tyler last night, but you and I have not met up. In due time...
I am glad that you shared your dramatic story. I think that those boys needed some Shawnee to make them better. That's what I say.
Looks like you had a great time before he left! It's always sad and sweet to have a brother go on a mission.
