Maybe I spoke too soon...

...because this beauty showed up yesterday afternoon.

Actually, it's the trailer right next to the one that was behind my fence. But it's on wheels and doesn't look too permanent so let's hope it won't take another 10 months for it to go away! I'll just tell myself that it was too muddy with the rain to move it to another location. Yeah, that's what I'll say. :(

I looked out the window...

...and what did I see?

(besides rain, dark skies, and construction vehicles and a school)

I'll give you a hint...

Can you see what's missing?
THE CONSTRUCTION TRAILER IS GONE!!
(It only took 10 months, but hey, who's counting!)
YAY!!!
Bring on the sunshine into my backyard, baby!

May Madness

(Since I totally slacked on the blogging scene last month, here's a lengthy post to catch you all up to date on our crazy month.)

I must say that I think our May was busier than any other month so far this year! It was crazy and yes, I'm glad it's over but I have a feeling we have another crazy month ahead of us. Here's what we've been up to:
  • Graduations: My brother, Josh, graduated with his Bachelor's/Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering (aerospace emphasis) from Utah State University on May 1st. He's such a smarty...we are so proud of him! He and Krissey moved this past week to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are sad to see them go, but excited for their upcoming adventures!
  • Weddings: Brady's brother, Andy, married his sweetheart, McKenzie, on May 2nd in the Salt Lake Temple. I think it was the rainiest day of the year! We were all drenched waiting outside for them. (Sorry for the bad pics...it was pouring, people! Check here for some better ones.)
  • Babies: I'm going to be an aunt! Josh and Krissey announced on Mother's Day that they are expecting. I'm happy for them. And, Natalie and Casey also announced they are expecting! Babies, babies, everywhere! (and if you live in my ward, you totally understand the factory of babies going on!)
  • Family: With the wedding and all, Brady's sister, Emily and her family were here from Boston. We love hanging out with the nieces and nephews (and the siblings too!). Love them!
  • Work: Let's just say it's been alot. (Which I'm thankful for, I just wouldn't mind a slow day or a day off!)
  • School: Brady's doing a class this summer...bummer for summer school. But yay for only one more year of school for him!
  • Church: Brady took the scouts down to the swell for one of their campouts. It worked out well, because it was one of my work weekends. He loves it down there. I think he's been down to the swell/Moab area 5 or 6 times already this year!
  • Garden: I love my little sanctuary-in-progress! It's a lot of work, but who would've ever guessed I loved gardening? Despite sore muscles and blisters from digging up those dang weeds, I find it relaxing to be out there working with only the sound of the rock fountain. (And yes, that trailer is still in our backyard. Apparently they meant "we'll move it when we're able to next summer"..we're hoping they pour asphalt soon so it can be moved! I'm SO done with dust and construction!)
Last fall, Brady built this rock fountain...it's not quite finished, but I love what it sounds like...it's so peaceful! (at least when the construction has stopped for the day!)
  • Holiday weekend: Our Memorial Day weekend was QUITE the adventure. Some friends from our ward invited us to go camping and rafting down near Green River, Utah. Let's just sum it up with RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, MUD, MUD, MUD, and oh yeah, good times with friends and one raft trip down the river. Thanks for the memories...we'll be telling that story forever.
He's doing a scene from Titanic...it was hilarious!
  • At last, but not least, Birthdays: Brady turned 28 on May 24th. We were on our camping trip and I brought him chocolate cake and candles to celebrate. And thanks to Ryan and Tiffany for the ice cream...it worked out so well. I'm ever so grateful to be married to such a good guy. Love you, babe!
